Cindy Campbell, oboe and English Horn:
Cindy has performed with the Park Avenue Chamber Symphony at Merkin Hall and Carnegie Hall, and with the Lawyers’ Orchestra and Greenwich Village Orchestra. She studies in New York City with Lisa Kozenko while pursuing a career as a Technical Designer.

Ada Muellner, Oboe:
studied with Jan Bennet at the Longy School of Music in Cambridge for ten years. She now studies in Brooklyn with Jim Ferraiuolo, and is an editor at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.

Grover Edwards, Clarinet:
Grover is the principal clarinetist of the Brooklyn Repertory Opera Orchestra, a member of the Harmattan Wind Quintet, and plays E-flat soprano clarinet with the Grand Street Community Band. He studied with Anthony Gigliotti of the Philadelphia Orchestra.

Lauren Del Re, Clarinet:
recently graduated with a Masters in Clarinet Performance from Ithaca College. In 2000, she was the winner of the Pershing's Own U.S. Army Band's 1st Annual Young Artist Competition and was a featured soloist in Lincoln Center's Avery Fischer Hall. Lauren teaches music at Port Richmond High School in Staten Island.

Barnaby Kendall, Bassoon:
graduated from the University of Leeds with a BSc in Computer Science and Music and continued his studies there to attain the degree of Master of Music. He works as a technical architect for a financial software company and plays bassoon with a number of ensembles in Brooklyn and Manhattan.

Jennifer Speck, Bassoon:
plays with This Ambitious Orchestra, hellgate harmonie, COSM and the Astoria Symphony. She attended Stetson University and has a degree in Marketing.

Darcy McFadyen, Horn:
has a Bachelor of Music from the University of Toronto, and has played with many Toronto-area professional opera chamber and symphony orchestras. He currently works in finance while also moonlighting with the Brooklyn Symphony.

Dan Nimitz, Horn:
received his BA, Alfred University; MA, PhD, Eastman School of Music. Dan has taught college music history, horn, and played with the Albany Symphony. He is now the Executive Director, ACMP Foundation.

Harry Wise, Trumpet:
is a lawyer, studied trumpet with Joseph Greco, Robert Nagel and Tim Ouimette.  He was for several years principal trumpet of The Lawyer's Orchestra, and plays regularly with various amateur orchestras and at the Amato Opera, and is lead trumpet with the Jump-Start Big Band.

Anthony Finley, Violin:
is an attorney in New York City and a critic for The Strad Magazine. He studied violin in London with Raymond Cohen, and with Geoffrey Trabichoff, leader of the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra. He was concerto soloist with St. Thomas Orchestra of Mamaroneck, NY, and with the New York Lawyers Orchestra. Recently he gave a violin recital at the Goethe Institute in Manhattan.

Elliott Niebch, Violin:
graduated from the Florida State University, then moved to New York to take an Electric Designer position with Con Edison. He has performed with various orchestras throughout New York City.

Claire Golden, Violin:
played with the Vassar College Orchestra. In New York City, she has played principal second in the Riverside Orchestra, and also plays the viola in the Crystal Quartet.

Michael Peng, Violin:
was a member of the Bergen Youth Orchestra for four years and performed with them in Carnegie Hall. He attended the University of Rochester as a microbiology major and studied violin with Oliver Steiner at the Eastman School of Music.

NoahGall, Violin:
graduated from Denison University and studied with Andrew Carlson. He also plays with the Brooklyn Repertory Opera and smaller ensembles.

Paul Spencer, Violin:
has played with the University of Connecticut Symphony Orchestra and the Vassar College Orchestra, and more recently with the Riverside Orchestra and COSM.

Vivianne Potter, Violin:
a graduate of Stanford and UCLA, performed as principal player in community and professional orchestras on the West coast. In New York, she plays with COSM and in New Jersey with the Ridgewood G&S Opera Company. She is the Managing Director of Direct Response Fundraising for Amnesty International USA.

Elena Kydd, Viola:
studied with Margaret Hjaltested at the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College, where she received her B.A. in Music. Previous studies were at Juilliard and also at the School for Strings, and at the Fiorello LaGuardia High School of Music and Art. Ms Kydd performs with the Brooklyn Repertory Opera as principal violist, and has toured internationally with the Long Island Youth Orchestra.

Brian Harrington, Viola:
studied with a private teacher for a year while attending LaGuardia High School. Brian has performed with orchestras Metropolitan Orchestra under the baton of Lukas Foss, Brooklyn Repertory Opera and the Richmond Hill Orchestra.

has studied with Eva Ell, Paul Clement, David Soyer, and Paul Tobias at Mannes.

Nancy Connell, Cello:
majored in music/composition at Middlebury College and received a PhD in bacterial genetics at Harvard. She played in Boston’s Longwood Symphony Orchestra and in the Albert Einstein Symphony Orchestra. She plays in the Baroque Orchestra of New Jersey, and is a student of Semyon Fridman.

Helene Sherman, Cello:
At Boston University's School for the Arts, Helene was a cello pupil of George Neikrug. She received her Master of Music Degree in Cello Performance at the University of Akron School of Music where she was a cello pupil of Professor Michael Haber.

John Austin, Bass:
Studied violin with Robert Mann, viola with John Graham, and currently studies double bass with the noted soloist Richard Frederickson. Recording: Bay Records. Compositions: "December Waltz" (Country Dance and Song Society) and "Zeke's Rag."

Chrissy Fong, Flute:
Chrissy Fong has performed throughout the United States and plays with the Astoria Symphony, Brooklyn Symphony Orchestra, and the New York Symphony Orchestra. She was soloist with the Brooklyn Symphony Orchestra, the California Music Festival Orchestra, and the Niles North Symphonic Orchestra. In 1997, Ms. Fong was the winner of the All-American Festival Solo Competition. Her teachers are Bernard Z. Goldberg and Keith Underwood, and she is on the faculty of Bayside Music School, Eastern School of Music and Dance, and South Island Music, Inc.

Alan Berquist, Flute:
Has performed on the concert stages of Europe, Asia and Central America, and plays with several ensemble in New York City. With degrees in flute from Florida State University,University of Wisconsin-Madison and Carnegie Mellon University, he studied with Stephanie Jutt and Jeanne Baxtresser.Alan works in development at The American-Scandinavian Foundation.

Aaron Liskov, Trumpet:
Is an undergraduate history major at Columbia University. He studied with Julius Sposato, James Hamlin and Wayne du Maine,and performs with Columbia's Orchestra and Wind Ensemble.

Emma Leinhaas:
began playing the violin at age four. Over the years she has performed as an amateur chamber, opera and orchestral violinist, including a tour of six cities in Eastern China with the Brown University Orchestra in 2007. Now employed in classical music management, she also enjoys playing violin and singing in various ensembles in NYC. ;

Amy Wierenga, oboe
Amy Wierenga, oboe, studied music at Butler University's Jordan College of Fine Arts in Indianpolis. She was principal oboe of the Butler University Symphony Orchestra and the Jordan Sinfonia and was principal in the Marion and Lafayette Symphony Orchestras. She has appeared as a soloist with the Jordan Sinfonia and the Indianapolis Children's Choir.

Nilko Andreas Guarin
Colombian Born Guitarist Nilko Andreas Guarin has performed throughout the United States, Colombia, Mexico, Puerto Rico, France and Portugal, and among numerous prizes is the recipient of the Colombia Exterior Award 2006 for his contribution to the arts. Nilko Andreas holds a Bachelor of music 07, and a master of Music degree 09, from the Manhattan School of Music. His major teachers have been Ramiro Isaza, Francisco Roldan and David Leisner. He currently resides in New York City

Enrique Barria
Enrique Barria (guitar) started his musical studies at the age of eleven in his native Chile. After graduating with degrees in music performance and engineering, he performed extensively throughout Chile before moving to the United States. He joined the chamber music program at the 92nd Street Y, where he regularly performs in chamber music groups and continues to explore the chamber music repertoire of the classical guitar.

Elizabeth Mulhall, flute
Elizabeth Mulhall, flute, attended the Manhattan School of Music Preparatory division and played in the Westchester Youth Symphony. She was first flute in New York’s All-State orchestra and the MENC All-Eastern band. Elizabeth attended Barnard College of Columbia University, where she studied with Sue Ann Kahn at Mannes College of Music, was the first chair flute and President of the Columbia University Wind Ensemble, and participated in Columbia’s chamber music program.

David Wah, bassoon, plays in the Occasional Opera Society and Chamber Music-O-Rama summer festival.

Josephine Chan Yung, pianist
Josephine Chan Yung, pianist, has appeared in solo recitals and vocal and chamber music concerts in Hong Kong, Hartford, and New York. She recently played duo recitals with flutist Norman Dee in New York. After studies with Madame Tu Yueh Sien in Hong Kong, she graduated Magna cum laude from Hartt College of Music, University of Hartford, where she studied with Raymond Hanson and received her Master of Science degree from Columbia University. ;

Adrienne Smith
Adrienne Smith switched to playing the bassoon after beginning her studies on clarinet. In college, she earned a music minor, the first ever awarded by Ohio State University. Since that time she has been playing with numerous instrumental groups. COSM is delighted to have her in the ensemble.

Jessica Ancker, flute
Jessica Ancker, flute, began studying in the conservatory prep program at the Cleveland Institute of Music and with John Rautenberg of the Cleveland Orchestra. She served as principal flute of the Cleveland Institute of Music Youth Orchestra, the New England Conservatory Youth Orchestra under Benjamin Zander, and the Harvard-Radcliffe Orchestra; She is principal flute of the Chamber Orchestra of Science and Medicine, Collegium Westchester, and the Occasional Opera Company.
